Starting mainly in electrical work on Hull docks in the mid 80s, Allan Fairfield Electrical Ltd has grown purely through good honest work and word of mouth referrals. AFE came out shipping due to the changing markets and economic climate, and decided to build the business further in the commercial and education sector.
The business branched out in the 90s to accommodate for commercial and local business work, as well local authorities and council work. AFE are now a trusted provider for local authorities, council, schools in Hull and East Yorkshire.
At AFE, we pride ourselves in quality work and long term relationships, and have a string of long lasting customers with whom we continue to work with on a regular basis. Bearing that in mind, no project is too big or small and in the past we have worked on everything from local leisure centres to concrete silos in London.
In April 2015 PJD Electrical took over the business, with Paul Duplock and Allan joining forces to a deliver a more wholistic electrical service for clients.
Allan Fairfield: “I thought about retiring 12 months ago, but when the potential partnership from PJD would be perfect. I know Paul well and had worked together in the past, it seemed like a great partnership. It’s a mutual agreement that two companies would be stronger together due to the similarities of the work that both companies do. I’m looking forward to working on a part time basis in between fishing trips!”
Paul Duplock: “I know I want to continue the good work originally started by Allan, and build from the foundations moving forward to further success.”
With Allan still available to assist Paul, Allan Fairfield Electrical and PJD Electrical can now continue to deliver a consistent and reliable electrical contacting service in Hull, East Yorkshire and UK wide.
